A Book Review. Goudge's lengthy biography is used as a reference for Warfield's paper which is in the form of a book review. Warfield offers concise explanations of many of the important parts of Peircian theories on logic, scientific inquiry and the scientific method, induction and abduction, categories of relations, and the two terms invented by Peirce `phaneron' and `semiotic'. Warfield's manuscript is dated 27 June 1980, but the published article did not appear until a 1982 issue of the journal.
