This talk was prepared for a group of visiting Chinese scholars and government officials who were touring the U.S. to explore possible cooperative research areas which could be funded in part by the U.S. National Science Foundation and in part by similar Chinese funding sources. Chinese persons attending were: Ruwei Dai, Weixuan Xu, Yuanji Tu, Yuan You Xin, Bai Yi-long, Frederick(Fengming)Song, Liu Zhadong, Siwei Cheng, Rem Fumao and Shouyang Wang. Also present were Chinese students at GMU Qu Duan and Le Ling. (This short paper was written in August 1998, but in late August or September Warfield put the two pages into a larger manuscript titled "Overview: John N. Warfield's 30 Year…". Where it is pages 4 and 5 of the Overview document.)
Chronology of My Research on Complexity 1968-1998
Talk given to group of Chinese scholars and government officials that divides Warfield’s research on complexity into four time periods: Startup, Developmental, Integrative and The Future. Lists colleagues who have assisted, organizations and universities involved, and locations of major applications of the work. Incorporated as part of larger manuscript entitled “OVERVIEW: John N. Warfield's 30 Year Research Program on Complexity.”
