Was shipped to GMU in January 2001. The manuscript has no date, however there is no question that 1987 or 1988 is the correct date, because one of the pages in this manuscript is a photocopy showing a table from a printed article in which a 1986 conference paper was referenced. Another section of the manuscript is titled "On Parameters" and is dated 29 December 1987. Also the label on the folder says "Circa December 1987" which sounds like something Rose Warfield tacked on during an earlier housecleaning. I am using this tentative date of 1987-1988 because 1988 was the last year in which Warfield used Room 219 Thompson Hall. He moved to 217 Thompson Hall in 1989. This is a collection of handwritten notes on 5 sheets of ruled tablet paper, plus 20 typed pages plus 2 photocopied pages showing "Table 3" and "Table 4" from an earlier printed article. The first page is titled ABSTRACT. Warfield has written the title on the manila folder, and also the words "Writing Project" Apparently the entire folder was an unfinished article which was never completed. Possibly some parts of this manuscript appear in later published papers by Warfield, but I have no way of knowing this.
