This is a 58 page English language manuscript with all the figure pages. It was scanned by Rose Warfield who found and copied the pages from Warfield's old accopress note binder when cleaning out the boxes in year 2013. NOTES by Rose: The document is one of four separately dated versions, all using the same title. The dates are 1984, 1985, 1990 and 1995. (The 1990 version is in Polish.) All four versions have been donated to GMU Library and are listed somehow or other in the library's Electronic Finding Aid, John finished and mailed this full size article to the editor in November 1985. After his first version (1984) was declared too SHORT, and the ASEE editor had encouraged him to expand it TO FULL LENGTH for publication. When Warfield complied, the editor responded the full length paper was too LONG and must be SHORTENED. Rather than deal with the editorial inconsistency, John withdrew the paper and sent it to a Polish journal editor. Also saved on Rose's computer, is a set of 17 or 18 transparencies. Hard copies of these can be found at GMU's Warfield Special Collection in Box 14, under the title "Course in Generic Design Teaching Materials". Warfield's article "Education in Generic Design" contains some of the same content as this paper. It is shorter. It appeared in 1986 Proceedings of Society for General Systems Research. R.
