Warfield writes in this paper "It is time to establish an Experimental Horizons College, aimed at developing the knowledge and individuals to carry out the design and implementation of the Great University." He describes his dream university based on ideas of Ralph Barton Perry, and expressed by Warfield as a Golden Triad. For Warfield, the Golden Triad was the achievement of being able to offer superior education in three fields:
1) the cultural inheritance of humanity (Inheritance: associated with the University College)
2) skills needed to participate in contemporary world (Participation: associated with the Professional College)
3) skills needed to particpate in the civilization of the future (Contribution to the future: associated with the Horizons College)
In other words, the Great University will have three primary divisions, these being the University College, the Professional College, and the Horizons College.
