The Delta Chart: Using Interactive Management To Construct Delta Charts

Suggests that new Interactive Management methods, using ISM software, can be used to produce more sophisticated DELTA charts which can include cycles. Two appendices with excerpts from Warfield’s previously published books provide lengthy discussions of DELTA Charts.

This is an informal document which Warfield prepared for CWA, Limited (Alexander Christakis's business) with authorization given on the title page for CWA to reproduce it for their business use. The document consists of three parts, a five-page essay, followed by two excerpts from books published earlier by Warfield. This paper was written 24 years after the DELTA chart paper published by Warfield and Hill. In this 1995 essay, Warfield suggests that new Interactive Management methods, using ISM software, can be used to produce more sophisticated DELTA charts which can include cycles. Two appendices with lengthy discussions of DELTA Charts accompany the essay: Appendix I is pp. 196-213 excerpted from A Science of Generic Design, and Appendix 2 is pp. 55-60 excerpted from A Handbook of Interactive Management.
