Designing the Development of Regulatory Science: Application of the Cogniscope System, (DRAFT)

Results of Interactive Management Workshop held in April and May 1995, for Center for Drugs Evaluation and Research and Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. Both of these Centers are part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The 1995 workshops were outgrowths of Interactive Management consultations workshop activity conducted for the FDA during 1994. This CWA report, or at least the report which Warfield has here in his office, is marked DRAFT. The main body of the report written by Christakes & Associates is only 32 pages. However, the report contains nearly a hundred pages of additional materials, inserted as appendices, as follows: Domain of Science Model by Warfield, a reprint of Chapter 3 of A Science of Generic Design, 1990. Dimensionality by Warfield & Christakis, a reprint from Systems Research 4:2(1237-137) “Ship of State and Sea of Knowledge” by Warfield, which is a 32-page incomplete draft manuscript. “The Scientific Professional Within Government Regulatory Agencies,” a 22-page manuscript by Professor Roberta Snow of West Chester University, who was employed as a consultant for Christakis, Whitehouse & Assoc. on this project.
