In addition to a thorough review of the basic precepts of his "generic design science." The "Twelve Laws of Design Science" are presented and the author gives short descriptions of how his generic design concepts are now being utilized in real life applications. This paper was prepared for the EFL Foundation (Van Eesteren-Fluck & Van Lohuizen Stichting Foundation) Essay Competition on New Models for Design Planning and Policy-Making. (Warfield calls this his "Dutch Contest Paper") As one of the competition winners, it was published in a Proceedings volume for an EFL Symposium held in Amsterdam 23 November 1990, and also published in Knowledge and Society, a journal edited by William N. Dunn, at the School of Library & Information Science, University of Pittsburg.
