.Mathematics of Modeling was at one time a spiral bound syllabus used in Warfield's first Mathematics of Modeling short course, taught in Monterrey, Mexico in July 1992. There were two or three different indexes for the course materials. Index manuscripts files were missing for a long time but I finally found them November 1, 1998, in Warfield's "Mexico" materials. There were several manila file folders in the TEACHING FILE CABINET crammed with hard copy materials which Warfield used for his three math short courses. Also he has loose-leaf note-binders on this material in his GMU office, and also there is a series of about 12 VIDEOTAPES of the January 1993 workshop which we have at home in the basement, and also in the basement video storage closet there is another loose-leaf note-binder filled with more Mathematics of Modeling materials, probably duplicate copies of the stuff at the office. There is no clear cut manuscript or transparency list for each of the three math of modeling courses, although the filename titled "Course Outline: Mathematics of Modeling" does give document lists used in 1992. The material has all been lumped together over the years. The short courses were: 1) 27-31 July 1992, a Workshop course for ITESM - titled "Mathematics for Modeling." 2) 18-22 January 1993, a Workshop course for The Institute of Public Policy at GMU (videotaped) - titled "Mathematics Modeling." 3) 21-25 June 1993, Workshop course for ITESM, follow-up on July 1992 course - titled " A Science of Design." r.w.
