On Language Components for Integrative Studies

Discussion of the importance of, and history behind, scientific language. Includes suggestion of new terminologies and a new approach to integrative studies, based in language design. Presented at Annual Meeting of Association for Integrative Studies (AIS) held at St. Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire, 1-4 November 1990.

Proposals are made for new terminology and a new approach to integrative studies, based in language design. Part of this paper is a table listing Warfield's "Twenty Golden Triads." A few new terminologies are suggested in this article. Headings are: Primary Considerations in Language Design, Two Bronze Terms, A Silver Dyad, Twenty Golden Triads. The 20 golden triads are named as the last thing in the paper. Julie Klein wrote him after the conference and asked him to submit this paper to the AIS journal, and I believe that he did submit it, but it was never published there.
