During the week of 1-6 March 2004, Warfield was a guest of ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, where he lectured in the Systems & Industrial Engineering department. One lecture was a video broadcast by satellite to ITESM branch campuses throughout Mexico and Latin America. Students from the other campuses could send email messages to Monterrey session and they could be answered live by the visiting lecturer. Unfortunately there were so many questions received from distant viewers that there was not time during the satellite session to answer all of them. After the lecture Professor Mary Carmen Temblador collected all of the unanswered questions. She combined them into a single document and sent them to Warfield in an email message which he received after returning to the U.S. What we have in this document is Warfield’s transcription of Mary Carmen’s email, into which he inserted his replies to the questions.
