I don't know why Warfield had this paper on his computer or why he included it in the collection of files he gave to me for my own computer records when we were cleaning up backlogs in 2008. The WordPerfect file now on my computer is dated 19 October 1998, so I don't know why I have the date 1996 here in the database record. Maybe 1996 was the date of publication of Charles' encyclopedia. Here is citation for the encyclopedia: INTERNATIONAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SYSTEMS AND CYBERNETICS Edited by Charles François München: K. G. Saur 1997. 450 pp. HB. approx. € 210.00/sFr 361.00. ISBN 3-598-11357-9. Anyhow, in 2008 Warfield gave me all the stuff he had that he considered documents or papers that I could list in my database, and this reference list from Charles' encyclopedia was among them. It could be one of the reference lists he saved to be able to make correct citations. Or it might have been a reference section for a larger article on which Warfield was working. There are some really good papers listed here and the document should not be thrown out because so useful. Warfield's own writings are included in the listing, along with others. The lists are copied from other digitized files or email, or something. I am pretty sure that Warfield reviewed, edited, or helped Charles in some manner in the writing of the encyclopedia so probably Warfield had received from Charles a digitized copy of these references, and was able to copy them into WordPerfect.
