Probably circa January 1995, Warfield wrote and sent in this lengthy abstract titled "Demands IMPOSED on Systems Science by Complexity.” It was a preliminary proposal describing a paper which Warfield hoped to present at the conference of the UKSS in July. Warfield's proposal was accepted, and eventually he enlarged the proposal into a conference paper which was published in the conference proceedings. However, this Abstract-proposal manuscript is sort of a left-over, since it was not used as an abstract in the published proceedings paper.
