The manuscript is divided into 20 sections, one for the preface, for each of the ten chapters and eight appendices, and for the postscript section of the book. These questions are printed in the book at the end of each chapter. The first edition of the book, printed in 1990, did not have these study questions. Warfield wrote them in 1992, and added them to the manuscript for the 1994 2nd edition.
