This material was shipped to Fenwick Library Special Collections, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA on 23 October 2000. Julius Tou and Warfield were both on the Purdue University Faculty at the same time, during the academic year 1956/57. It was at that time Julius asked Warfield to write a chapter for his book (Julius T. Tou, Ed, APPLIED AUTOMATA THEORY), which is a compendium of articles by other authors, not by Julius. Warfield agreed to do so and gave him the article, but it was not published until several years afterward, after Warfield and Julius had both left Purdue and moved elsewhere. We have in the files at home the bound volume of the book, and also the corrected galley proof and originals of the figures, as well as the publisher's reprint. I don't know where the bound volume of the book is. Maybe it is still here in Fayetteville apartment on a shelf, or maybe we gave it to a library. I would have thought we sent it to GMU, but it is not in the GMU catalog. However, the inbook article is at Fenwick library, as a publisher's offprint. This paper is one of a set of two reprints by STOC in same 1990 bibliography. Warfield, J. N., "Switching Networks as Models of Discrete Stochastic Processes" this title was listed in 1990 bibliography published the STOC (Symposium on Theory of Computing)/FOCS (IEEE Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science).
