This material was shipped to Fenwick Library Special Collections, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA on 23 October 2000. Understanding Delta Charts began as a Draft paper prepared for the NSF project on a User's Guide to Public Systems Methodology. The paper was written by Warfield May 31, 1978 in a review draft, and updated with this 14 July 1978 version which had 2 added references and an Appendix describing 2 Japanese papers published 1981 and 1983. Understanding Delta Charts is an upgrade of an earlier paper by Warfield & Hill titled The DELTA chart: A Method for R&D Project Portrayal, 1971. The material in Understanding Delta Charts was later incorporated as part of Warfield's book A Science of Generic Design, 1990.
