Sent to GMU 27 September 2007. NOTE: " Files for Complexity Seminars. August 2002 In China " is the title listed in GMU Finding aid. But "China Talks-CD-2002" is the title listed in JOHN WARFIELD PAPERS FOLDER on Rose's computer. This is one of the few times when my title and the GMU title don't match.
These are files on a compact disk loaded with teaching and lecturing aids, mostly PowerPoint slides but also articles on economics and lists and indexes of topics and keywords, which Warfield prepared in Florida on 27 July 2002 three days before we departed for China. He carried the disk with him on the trip to use as reference during lectures. This folder is a hodgepodge of documents which are DUPLICATES of documents now stored elsewhere on Rose’s computer or in ARCHIVE FILES saved from one or more of Warfield’s old computers. Warfield just copied LOTS OF STUFF from his computer to carry with him to China. While in China, Warfield spoke 3 August 2002 and 4 August 2002 before the ISSS 46th annual meeting held at Oriental Riverside Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai China, then on 6 August 2002 at the International Symposium on Complexity Science a conference held at TongJi University, also in Shanghai, and then on 8 or 9 August 2002 before faculty & students at China University of Mining & Technology, in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.

Rose transferred all of the files on Warfield’s China Talks compact disk to her computer probably in 2007 which is the year Warfield shipped the disk to Fenwick Library to add to the Warfield Special Collection, where it is located in Box 90 Folder 25. There are 399 files, in 23 folders.
