Systems Science in a University Setting-Part 2-Structural Presentations

This is the second of two manuals given as handouts for the Simpsons-Dagli-Alberts Systems Science Program Short Course held 11-15 July 2007 in Sheffield, Alabama. See, "Systems Science in a University Setting-Part 1-Work Plan for Short Course" for the other manual. See also, "Systems Science in a University Setting- Emails" and "Systems Science in a University Setting - Notes, with List of Materials.”

The manual was first named “System Science Program Part 2” but had a name change later to “Systems Science in a University Setting-Part 2-Structural Presentations.” It is 55 pages, spiral-bound with a light green cover. It is a collection of seven PowerPoint slide presentations, drawn from Warfield's series of slides which he calls "Managing the Unmanageable".

The seven slide titles are: MTU 4 -The Mathematics of Structure; MTU 9 - Infrastructure for Carrying Out the Work Program of Complexity; MTU 27 - Quality Control in Complexity Modeling; MTU 60 - Middle Human Science 1; MTU 62 - Middle Human Science 2; MTU 65 - Empirical Evidence: The Perino Findings; MTU 91 - Leaders in Applying the Structure-Based Science of Complexity.

The manual also contains summary discussions of each slide presentation, along with an up to date (as of 2007) reference list of Warfield publications.

In addition to the few manuals and papers sent to GMU there is a huge unsorted mess of documents connected with this short course, which are digitized in the folder "Systems Science in a University Setting" on Rose's computer. Also Dan has some more hard copy papers from this course at his home in the storage box labelled JOHN’S WORKS IN PROGRESS . Dan took this box to store at his house on June 23, 2013.
