It looks like GMU has two copies in separate locations: The copy in Box 5 Folder 31 is the PAPER MANUSCRIPT for the speech, and is dated 1982. I am not sure that the abstract is a part of the paper manuscript, but it was in the printed version which is Box 31 Folder 21. This is our digital home copy of the Abstract to Warfield's SGSR Yearbook article, which Bonnie wasn't able to combine digitally with the main body of the paper. On Rose's computer this Abstract is 5 pages, but in print it should be three pages including a title page. This file should have been attached to the larger file containing the main body of the article used by Warfield as his Presidential Address before the Society for General Systems Research annual meeting in 1984.. The entire Address, abstract, speech, figures and appendix was printed in the 1983 SGSR yearbook General Systems, and the whole article is preserved as one unit in Warfield Special Collection at Fenwick Library. There was never any offprint issued, or if it was I never got it, I had to make photocopy of the hard cover yearbook pages 1 - 74 to get our paper file copy of the speech. It is from that, or possibly from our copy of the hard cover yearbook that Bonnie typed the entire article using MS Word, which did not have the facility at that time for combining two documents into a SINGLE FILE. So I had to be content with the Abstract as a separate extra file and here it is. This was one of Warfield's most important papers, should be preserved if possible. GMU has it in their Warfield special Collection, not easy to find because listed as "Organizations amp; Systems Learning," [John N. Warfield], 1983" or "Organization & System Learning, Manuscript for 1983 Presentation , 1982"
