This document titled "Elucidation" is a summary, a list of Warfield's correspondences with about 80 different persons and/or institutions between 2001 and March 2009, along with his brief annotation for each item. He called these letters “My Crusades.”
With a few exceptions the letters or email messages were written from 2006 onward, after the move to Sheffield, Alabama. Most of the letters in one way or another included advertising of the Warfield Special Collection at George Mason University, in Warfield’s continued battle for recognition of his work. Warfield never won the battle. But he kept on knocking on all the doors anyway.
Warfield also made arrangements in early 2009 to send the full texts of the letters and messages to the GMU Digital Collection as e-documents, a few at a time, until all were sent. Robert Vay in Special Collections department helped by setting up a special email address at the Library, to receive the e-documents. (See My Crusades folder, Correspondence Sent to GMU, on Rose’s computer) Warfield did manage to email a few, but most of his My Crusades items remained unsent. He didn’t do anything with the My Crusades project after March of 2009 because of illness.
The full texts of the letters and email messages are saved on Rose’s computer in the folder “Selected correspondence, 2001 to 03-01-2009" pending entry in a database, where they can become available as part of Warfield Catalog.
