The Domain of Science Model: Transparencies

Transparencies to accompany “The Domain of Science Model: Evolution and Design,” presented at 1986 International Conference on Mental Images, Values & Reality, 30th Annual Meeting of SGSR, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, 26-30 May.

The 9 transparencies display the Domain of Science model in separate sections, which were overlapped during the talk, building up to a complete display of the model. Titles of the transparencies are: A Domain of Science Model with links and subdivisions (this is the unnumbered title page, starting with a view of a completed figure); 1) Components of a domain of science model; 2) Linking the components; 3) The components of a science; 4) The corpus of a science; 5) Methodology and corpus are both needed for a science; 6)The arena of a domain of science; 7) Science and Arena overlap through methodology; 8) Domain of Science model. - (this figure is the same as the figure on the Title page, but different caption). These drawings were not in the printed Proceedings paper, but were used when the paper was presented at the May 1986 conference, and in countless lectures, student handouts, workshops in months and years thereafter. Also the Domain of Science Model figure was the cover illustration for the book A Science of Generic Design.
