About Warfield's employment record. In 1991 we had discovered that the GMU official records did not qualify Warfield fora traditional a ten year Virginia lapel pin. Since this might have been significant to retirement income and benefits the GMU personnel office was asked for information on Warfield's employment records. Sheryl at GMU Human Resources did the research, and sent us this document which verified his employment not only at GMU but also for the time spent at University of Virginia before he came to GMU. The form shows that Warfield's 8 3/4 years of employment at University of Virginia, Charlottesville began on 16 Jan 1975 and ended on 31 August 1983 when he resigned for a better job (move to Detroit to work for Burroughs). The form also shows that his reemployment at George Mason University began on August 1, 1984 (move from Detroit to Fairfax, Virginia to work for George Mason University). Warfield got the ten year pin, and also a 25 year pin later on. He retired effective 1 September 2000. The two Virginia lapel pins must be around somewhere, but I haven't found them as yet.
