An unfinished manuscript in the form of an integrated “book review” of the economic philosophy and thinking of the 15th and 16th centuries. Uses brief summaries of the writings of Petty, Locke, Cantillon and Quesnay and a lengthy quoted article from Francis Bacon in an effort to describe and categorize the economist philosophers. This is one of several unfinished manuscripts or working papers created by Warfield for his ECONOMICS RESEACH studies Petty, Locke, Cantillon and Quesnay are the subjects for Warfield's integrated "book review" of the economic philosophy and thinking of 15-16th centuries. Using brief summaries of writings of each man, and including a lengthy quoted article from Francis Bacon, Warfield is attempting to describe their work by suitable categories. A printout of the paper is in Econ Research Note-binder No. 6.
