There were two video cassettes of Christakis being interviewed by Ben. GMU Finding Aid has two titles in the Finding Aid, differing only by the date. I am not sure what exactly is on which cassette. I decided to class them TOGETHER in the same database record, just to have records of the titles collected all in one place. The "Variant Title" seen in this record is my home database title. Our home copy of this video is lost. So I can't review the tapes to provide precise information. What follows is notes from earlier database annotations combined with what I can see in the GMU Online Finding Aid. There are two original 3/4 inch videotapes, (MASTERS, the originals) at George Mason University: 1) Videotape (3/4 inch) "Interview with Alexander N. Christakis, "John N. Warfield Theory Description, 1985-1986 2) Videotape (3/4 inch) "Interview with Alexander N. Christakis, "John N. Warfield Theory Description, 1986. These two 3/4 inch tape cassettes are in Box 69 of Warfield Special Collection.
We had a VHS cassette copy. Now I can't find it. My home records show that the date on the VHS copy we saved is March 13, 1985. I don't know how GMU obtained the 1986 date. Maybe I made a mistake in writing the date for my home records. I know for sure that Ben did two interviews with Christakis. The SECOND INTERVIEW is the one we want to find. It is 52 minutes in length. It is lost, and if I can't find it here at home. I hope some day to go to GMU library and get another copy made from the 3/4 in tape Masters.
HERE IS MY ANNOTATION WRITTEN in 2007 FOR THIS INTERVIEW: Ben Broome interviewed Alexander N. Christakis twice. The first time I think, is a ten minute segment attached to the end of our home VHS copy of "J.N. Warfield Interviewed by Hilary Austin", The second is a much better interview, with Christakis speaking extemporaneously. In this interview, he does a wonderful job of explaining ISM and the purposes of the GMU Center. When Rose Warfield saw this interview, 4 or 5 years afterward, she sat down and made a word by word transcript. We sent one VHS videotape to Arizona library along with Rose's eleven page transcript on which John Warfield wrote a few extra notations by hand. At this time I can't find this VHS video at home and I can't find the transcript either, but I know I put it away somewhere (r.w. 10-23-2012) .
