Design as a Group Process, George Mason Lecture Series, July 13, 1987

Lecture given by Warfield for the staff of Thompson Ramo Wooldridge Corporation, in 1987. Warfield asserts that large scale system design techniques need improvement and discusses his work on the concept of “Generic Design.” He also describes the new problem-solving and planning processes the Center for Interactive Management utilizes.




Filmed at a conference room in TRW building, Fairfax County, Virginia. This was one of a series of lectures presented by university faculty for the staff of Thompson Ramo Wooldridge Corporation, in 1987. "Large scale system design techniques are in need of major improvement" says Dr. Warfield, as he describes his work on a "Generic Design" concept, and discusses the new problem-solving and planning processes now in use at the Center of Interactive Management at George Mason University.
