1989 Systems Science Program Planning Discussion, Group 1, November 13, 1989

An audio recording, from day one of a two day meeting at George Mason University in which Warfield sought to start a Systems Science program at the school. See also “Systems Science Program Planning Discussion, Group 2 November 14, 1989,” the second day of the meeting.



I have no documents about this tape, and don't remember it at all. Apparently there was a 2-day meeting at GMU in which Warfield participated and Warfield got a recording of it. But I am pretty sure Kenneth Boulding was in on this group discussion. It was the period of time when Boulding was visiting scholar at GMU in Fairfax. Warfield tried to enlist his support and influence in starting Systems Science program at George Mason University, an effort to which GMU did not respond. (r.w. circa 2007)
