Diseno de Sistemas, a class taught by Ing. Roxana Cardenas, with Aleco Christakis and John Warfield

Video of Alexander N. Christakisand John N. Warfield as guest lecturers in a televised session of a class taught by ITESM Professor Roxana Cárdenasin Monterrey, Mexico. Christakis and Warfield each give short talks and then respond to questions from the audience. The class title “Deseno de Sistemas,” translates as Systems Design, or Generic Design.

Alexander N. Christakis and John N. Warfield are guest lecturers in a televised class meeting taught by Roxana Cárdenas. Cardenas, Warfield and Christakis are seated onstage of a large lecture hall. The two guests each give short talks, then respond to questions from the student audience, with Cardenas being the moderator and (often) translator. The class is broadcast live via satellite to ITESM campus locations throughout Mexico. The class title Deseno de Sistemas, translates as Systems Design, or Generic Design. The TV cameras were off at another time with this class, when Christakis charmed the audience to cheers by walking on stage waving two little Mexican flags (16 Sept is Mexican Independence Day). He made a great hit with the Mexicans and I wish we could have had it on the videotape. Later, Christakis didn't want the flags, so gave them to Warfield, who did want them, and brought them home to the U.S. where we have had them ever since.

I think that ITESM certainly has a copy of this video, probably listed in their Virtual University library in Monterry, Mexico, and probably Roxana has a VHS copy. The title does not seem to be in GMU Finding aid, and I don't think it is at GMU Library. We have a copy at home, and also it is digitized as MPG file.
