It is shown in this report that a large role must be played by the Government of Ghana to ensure the evolution of the national information technology policy. The conclusions drawn from the two case studies reported herein provide ample evidence that such a leadership role is central to the efficient and successful introduction of process automation in the private and public sectors of the economy of Ghana.
