The index of leading cultural indicators "Attemps to bring a similar kind of empirical analysis to cultural issues" as has been done by the Index of Leading Economic Indicators, published by the Bureau of the Census. The new Index of Cultural Indicators is "the most comprehensive statistical portrait available of behavioral trends over the last 30 years, consisting of 19 social indicators, provides statistical and numerical breakdowns, charts and graphs, and a brief analysis of the data to provide an empirical assessment of the "condition of America question".
