Presented at 1989 Quality and Productivity Research Conf. University of Waterloo, June 6, 1989. Describes the basic concepts of QFD, includ ing the enhancement by the Pugh Concept Selection Process. ....On page 10 the author comments that "Interpretive Structural Modeling has power that may be helpful, although operational development is needed..".Axiomatic design of Prof. Suh may lead to improvements in QFD...Further future improvements summarized.
