Abstract: The paper describes a simulation model that is built to study the relationship between population dynamics and economic development in developing countries. The model mainly consists of two sub-models DEM and CEM. DEM, a 5-dimensional demographic model, is integrated to CEM a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model of economic development. A number of simulation results are obtained and discussed in systems perspectives. Simulation results obtained make it possible to gain an insight into some important policy issues in developing countries.
