An Example IM Workshop Plan (excerpt from draft of a 1992 Ford Report)

Summary: Pending

This is a protypical plan for an Interactive Management Workshop, using an example from workshop planning done for Ford Motor Company in 1992. Contents: a page one preface by John Warfield, written July 9, 1997, followed by Excerpts (pages 1-8) and Pages153-159) from a report titled: "Application of Interactive Management to System-wide Planning for Analytical Powertrain, Document No. 2, IM Workshop Plan, March 1992, Draft of April 2, 1992" This was the very first IM WORKSHOP ever done at Ford Motor Company. This plan was hammered out by Scott and John, drafts being faxed back and forth before the 1992 Workshop until the plan was complete. This short excerpt, has served ever since as a satisfactory pattern for persons wishing to start INTERACTIVE MANAGEMENT workshop on any topic. The manuscript has been circulated dozens of times since it was written in 1992, and is still useful. NOTE: When I was reviewing the web site for Fenwick Library Special Collections I noticed that the Library has two versions of this paper, 1997 and 1999, in two different locations, and that the author statement is reversed, so that one time Scott is the primary author and another time John is the primary author. This is o.k. both men worked on designing the article, using material originally provided by John. This 1997 version is longer, 15 pages, and contains extra material from Handbook of Interactive Management which Scott wanted added. John's 1999 version with the same title is shorter, only 11 pages, with reference given about where to find the Handbook.
