LESSONS AND EXPERIENCE IN STRATEGIC PLANNING IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. Working Paper #107-86. Presented at TIMS/ORSA Joint National Meeting Los Angeles, April (1986).
Summary: Pending
"Abstract: Mason and Mitroff (1981a) developed a method that enhances strategic planning quality by challenging the assumptions on which the plans are based. This is achieved basically by (a) surfacing those assumptions; (b) analyzing them; and (c) confronting them with alternative assumptions (the "dialectical debate"). ...we have been using Mason and Mitroff's approach for the last four years in our annual seminar on environmental premises for economic forecasting and business budgeting in Argentina."
