This paper offes an introductory view of the concept of habitual domains. As part of his development, a person acquires a set of ways of thinking, judging and responding, as well and the knowledge and experience on which they are based. This paper speaks of this set as the person's habitual domain; it accompanies him in all that he experiences and does. Finally, this concept is related to the operations research profession to suggest how to make OR workers more effective, both individually and collectively.
