INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES IN GENERAL EDUCATION GUIDELINES

This report is a Revision and updating of task force work begun in 1990's aimed at constructing criteria for interdisciplinary education and interdisciplinary professions. Task force members were Joan B. Fiscella,Cheryl R. Jacobsen, Julie Thompson Klein, Marcia Bundy Seabury, Michael J. Field, with Consultant Don Stowe. The report may be found on the AIS website http://www.units.muohio.edu/aisorg/pubs/reports/genedaccred.html John got a copy of this and read through it but was hoping for a more advanced system than what was outlined in the report, I am sorry that I never learned more in detail what discouraged John when reading this report, don't know what the details are about, but apparently he felt there is more hard work to be done to achieve satisfactory identification of standards in the field. And also I don't believe he liked the name change of the organizatin to Assn for Interdisciplinary Studies.
