This is one of a set of seven drawings illustrating Warfield's "Consensus Methodologies". The drawing was done for a 1980 government report titled Users Guide to Public Systems Methodology.
Since about 1979 the seven drawingis were in use as teaching and demo figure first at Univ. of Virginia Center subsequently at George Masn University
When published in John's 1990 book each of the seven drawings was a center illustration to a three-page portfolio, the center drawing flanked on each side by paragraphs explaining the process.
In the Warfield Special Collection at George Mason University Fenwick Library, this figure can be found in
