Note, the file on Rose Warfield's computer should be 75 pages, but two were missed in scanning and scanned later, now appear in filename "Annotated Bibliography of Publications p26 & 28"
Beginning in 1986, Warfield left his position as head of Institute for Information Technology, and took the title of Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in the Integrative Sciences (IASIS). In the 3 years following, he produced an annual bibliography from his office. Warfield wrote all the annotations and organized the format. Colleen Kearney, his secretary, did the typing and editing. It was a spiral bound paper-covered departmental report, whereby Warfield hoped to give some identity to his Integrative Sciences office and the work he hoped to do there.
With its eight topical divisions, the format is identical to that used in the 1990 bibliography, and much of the content in this earlier version is also identical to the content of the 1990 bibliography, in spite of the changed title.
(Regarding the title change for the 1990 version: Rose, who started helping in the office in 1989 after Colleen left, felt that "Annotated Bibliography of Publications" was misleading as a title, since many of the papers which Warfield listed were not published or written at IASIS, but had been written and published elsewhere. So Rose persuaded Warfield to drop "of Publications" from his title, and to use "Generic Systems Design & Interactive Management" as the title for his 1990 versions of the same bibliography.)
NOTE: There were three annual issues of this report, Dec 1986, May 1988 and May 1989, each issue larger than the previous one. The December 1986 issue is the one on Rose's computer. George Mason University has all three issues in their Special Collections & Archives, Dec 1986, May 1988 and May 1989 in Box 76, folders 1, 2, and 3.
