Papers from Warfield’s presentation at Fourth International Symposium of Industrial and Systems engineering, 27-28 February 1997 in Toluca City, 40 miles from Mexico City. There is no manuscript for the talk, but there a one-page talk outline, accompanied by a list of transparencies which were shown during the talk. Titles of the topics covered in the talk were: Living With Complexity; John Deere Company Case Example; United States Dept. of defense Case Example; Ford Motor Company Case Example; Education Cases. This talk was a description of Interactive Management, along with illustrations of several applications of the methodology in organizations. The Spanish-language title for the talk was: "Casos de Estudio de la Aplicacion de la Administracion Interactive en Grandes Organizaciones: Govierno Y Industria." There were several guest speakers, imported for the occasion from Mexican organizations and from foreign countries. John recalls one of the better speakers was Dr. Mandy Brown, from University of Hull in England, whom we met again when we visited England in 2001.
