Demands Imposed on Systems Science by Complexity

Summary of why Warfield believes the newly developing discipline known as "Systems Science" can be brought to a fruitful, useful maturity. Displays a matrix showing the interrelations of the "17 Laws of Complexity." Reviews the distinction between "ordinary" and "complex" situations and asserts that an adequate Systems Science is not being used in modern higher education. Graduating students are, therefore, not equipped to deal with huge complexities. "Demands Imposed on Systems Science by Complexity" is the PUBLISHED article in a proceedings volume, adapted from a 1995 unpublished conference paper titled "Demands of Complexity on Systems Science." John changed the title BEFORE IT WAS PUBLISHED.  This paper was published, and we have no pre-publication manuscript copies to distribute. Instead we direct the viewer to the publisher Springer Verlag, at url http://www.springer.com/us/book/9780306451003  or, alternately to George Mason University's Fenwick Library where a copy of the publisher's offprint is available in Warfield Collection C0016 Box 20 Folder 7, listed in Library's electronic finding aid as :"Demands Imposed on Systems Science by Complexity," [John N. Warfield], July 1995."
