Development of a Design-Manufacture Process Software Integration Strategy for Direct Engineering: A Proposal (prepared for Ford Motor Company)

Proposal to Ford Motor Company written in August 1993. Initially rejected, Ford eventually accepted Warfield’s proposal.

This is one of 32 FORD reports which Rose Warfield packed in a single box, and sent with the 23 October 2000 shipment to Fenwick Library, George Mason University. (Actually, this one seems as if it might be a proposal, not a report, but I am lumping it with the rest of the FORD documents) Rose did not have time to catalog these reports, but did manage to get the titles of all of them. A few were already in the database, but most were never properly cataloged and we have no information on number of pages, report editors, facilitators, and the like. R.W. Oct. 2000 =============================================== In the GMU website showing catalog of Warfield Special Collection, this title is listed not as a Ford Report nor as a Proposal, but as a paper - authored by John N. Warfield. It is in Box 13, Folder 19 at Fenwick Library. R,.W. 2007 ============= Warfield 's Ford project proposal was at first rejected by GMU administration but was later given an official o.k. The full story of how the Ford proposal was finally accepted by the GMU administration can be pieced together by reading through John's CORRESPONDENCE files for the period July-August 1993.
