The 2002 First edition booklet was mailed from Palm Harbor to Paul Koda, Special Collections Dept, GMU Libraries and also to his assistant Jennifer Bradshaw on 7 June 2002. Although only a thin paperback manual, Mr. Koda had it cataloged as a book. Two articles which the Warfields put into this first Guide, were ACTUALLY EXISTING in limbo, having been submitted to journals for publication - but not accepted. By the next year those two articles had BOTH been accepted by journals and published. So because the first Guide contained material published by other journals, the Guide could not be published containing those two articles. It had never been published anyway, it was never anything but a working paper or office report created for use by library staff. Two years later, in 2004 the Warfields rewrote the first Guide, eliminated the two published journal articles, substituted with two new articles by John and a lot of different listings by Rose. AJAR (Warfield's publishing arm) then officially published the same title as "2nd edition, 2004." Only the Warfield 2nd edition "Guide" is registered with U. S. Copyright Office. But in the meanwhile, the unpublished First Edition entered the George Mason University Library as a "book", got cataloged, and is shelved in Fenwick Special Collections - Reference/Call Number: H61.W372 G8 2002. It has copyright by John N Warfield on verso page (a mistake).
