OBSOLETE MATERIAL This 2002 compact disk is the WordPerfect version, kept in original WordPerfect files purposely to preserve John's original computer files. The item is now saved for historical reference. For information on a PDF disk which has replaced it, go to ID 1102 of this database. This is a compact disk using the original prepublication manuscript for the1994 book published by Iowa State University Press. John considered the WordPerfect manuscript finished in September 1993. In its digitized form, the prepublication manuscript is a collection of seven WordPerfect document files, six of which are FIGURE PAGES. The six figures, in a subfolder named HIM SIX-PACK, were so large that John was unable to incorporate them into his 338 page WordPerfect document. The six figure pages were printed separately then inserted manually into the master manuscript. The digitized version of the manuscript, on CD-ROM was issued 11 November 2002 by AJAR Publisher, copyrighted 1993/2002. The files used on this compact disk were created in November, 2002, using WordPerfect word processor, and derived from the original WordPerfect document dated September 1993, to the best of my knowledge, that being the last WordPerfect version (except for minor editing changes such as typos, adding and deleting TLATLOCAN, etc.) before Iowa State University Press published In November 1994.

Rose Warfield's notes written January 2003: "By the year 2002 all the photocopied soft cover editions have been sold and nothing remains but a file on John's computer which he has gone through and fancied up a bit and was producing as a CD version, when asked for. It is in Books in Print under the Ajar Publishing Company. He has given the CD version an ISBN Number from AJAR Publishing Company, the number is: 0-9716962-1-7, assigned 11/05/02 (Updated ISBN in 2010 is ISBN13: 978-0-9716962-1-1)"

R.W.postnotes: * As of 2014, the 2002 WordPerfect document has become OBSOLETE. It has been replaced on the compact disk by a pdf file which Warfield created on 3 July 2005 when he was finally able to get entire book into one single digital document and convert to PDF using WordPerfect conversion software.
