This slide presentation is a discussion of the talents and qualities needed for making a good facilitator, by using little life-stories of several good facilitators, complete with their photos. The people featured in this presentation are: Moses Ayiku, Roxana Cardenas, Scott Staley, Carol Jeffrey, and Roy Smith. Presented at ITESM, Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico, on 27 April 2000. At ITESM, this talk was given to a group of administrators, alumni and local business leaders in the morning, then repeated before two different sessions with ITESM students and faculty in the afternoon and evening of the same day. This slide presentation is a discussion of the talents and qualities needed for making a good facilitator, by using little life-stories of several good facilitators, complete with their photos. The people featured in this presentation are: Moses Ayiku, Roxana Cardenas, Scott Staley, Carol Jeffrey, and Roy Smith. Warfield also wanted to get Ben Broome and Henry Alberts, but they didn't send their photos or bios in time for his Mexico talk. A hard copy of the slides (32 pages) was also mailed to Monica Otolera, after the ITESM meetings. Also sent to GMU to add to this FOLDER is a formal thank you correspondence, a letter signed both by Dr. Mitre Council of Industrial & Systems Engineering, and by Dra. A. Roxana Cardenas, Head of Department of System Engineering, ITESM. Also included is a photocopy of a news clipping sent by Roxana, it is from page 5A of El Norte/Negocios a Spanish language newspaper in Monterrey, the news article is titled: Invitan a Administrar Situaciones Complejas. The materials for this talk were also used for Video Lecture #2 of the series titled Managing the Unmanageable. Warfield donated the manuscript printouts of the slides to Warfield Special Collection, but he did not send the videotape for this Lecture to GMU, because he has not yet completed the full series of films.
