Interpretive Structural Modeling: An Introduction to the Foundations, Method and Applications of a Useful Idea

A comprehensive overview of Interpretive Structural Modeling, including an account of the historical development of the use of ISM and a long bibliography. Submitted for publication in the journal Decision Sciences, but not accepted, however still significant because it reveals IBM interest and knowledge about ISM in the early 1980's. The file folder includes correspondence between the three authors.

There are two versions of the manuscript, an April 1981 draft of the paper written by Waller and Warfield, and a January 1982 59 page version which includes the IBM contribution to the article (pp. 38-41) written by Maureen Tondreau. The manuscripts are located in Warfield Special Collection at Fenwick Library, in Box 5, Folder 27. Copies were made of this paper and placed in the IASIS file.  (r.w. circa 1998)
