The Options Field Methodology for Design

A technical and mathematical description of the Options Field method. Includes figures and graph examples. The “Quad” concept is introduced and explored. Used for classes taught at University of Virginia and George Mason University.



This material was shipped to Fenwick Library Special Collections, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA on 23 October 2000. Step-by-step description of Options Field method, followed by figures and graphs demonstrating examples of its use. This paper has more of a technical mathematical approach, and has no mention of the movie example. Options Profile is explained, and the "Quad" concept is illustrated and discussed for the first time. This manuscript was used by Warfield as one of his class notebook teaching materials for the classes he taught at University of Virginia in 1981-82, and at George Mason University in the Fall Semester of 1985.
