Xuefeng, Song: Resume, undated

Resume of Xuefeng Song, who was sent by Chinese government to study under Warfield for a period of six months in 1999. His mission was to "learn all he could about complexity."

This is a Resume of a Chinese visiting scholar Warfield included information about Prof. Song for future scholars who might be interested in learning more about future Chinese leaders, among whom this young man's name will probably appear. In 1999, Xuefeng Song was sent by Chinese government to study under Warfield for a period of six months, with the mission that he was supposed to "learn all he could about complexity." Professor Song was given office space in Warfield's Institute, where he distinguished himself by his dedication to hard work and his ability to absorb and understand the difficult concepts Warfield has been trying to bring to public knowledge. Upon his return to China, Xuefeng Song began an institute in his own university for the purpose of teaching and training the theories of complexity found at George Mason University under Warfield. Since his return he was promoted to Dean of his university's Business School, and has been offered the post of University Provost there. Xuefeng Song's most recent publications, written shortly after his return to China, deal with the ideas of complexity, they are in the Warfield Special Collection in BOX 21, FOLDERS 50 AND 51
