The Science of Complexity and How it translates into Interactive Management Work

A set of transparencies for a presentation that discussed the Science of Complexity and Interactive Management. See also, “Vertical INCOHERENCE in Three-Level Organizations.” Presented at Ford Motor Company Ltd., Enterprise Process Reengineering Europe, Aveley, Essex, U.K. 7 July 1999.

This set of transparencies presented at the Ford Motor Company in Avely is identical to ones used two days later at the UKSS conference in Lincoln, under a different title. SEE ALSO the Access Database title: Vertical INCOHERENCE in Three-Level Organizations. Presented at Ford Motor Company, Avely, U.K. on July 5, 1999 and at UKSS conference, Lincoln, U.K. 9 July 1999.----------------------------- Probably the two talks were different also, since the Ford Motor Company audience was more focused on their manufacturing problems. Warfield said there were about 25 people there, I think, including some from continental Ford offices. Roy Smith scanned Warfield's cells and transferred the pages to an A-4 paper and made new cells which fit the Ford note-binder they gave him. In this same Ford note=binder are copies of presentations by Owen Berkeley Hill and Roy Smith at the same Aveley meeting. All are in a nice A-4 blue note-binder which I hate to discard it is so neat. Roy Smith probably prepared this note-binder for Warfield to keep.

Here is the list of cells in this cell-pack, exactly the same as the Vertical Incoherence Cell-pack, and as I said, just a different title: Edward R Murrow Quote; Two-Domain Theory of Action; The Three-Level Organization; Linking the Domain of Complexity to the 3-Level Organization; The Work Program of Complexity (WPOC); Products of Description (in WPOC); Products of Diagnosis (in WPOC); Products of Design (in WPOC); Components of Org Infrastructure in which SBSOC is to be Applied; Behavioral Pathologies Affect Client and Intervenor Alike; Bringing Coherence to Inquiry (Foucault); Founder of Discursivity (Foucault).
