Some Applications of Interpretive Structural Modeling

Description of the Interpretive Structural Modeling process. Provides data on applications and uses of the process, at varying locations, during the ensuing four years, when it has begun to find use in a wide variety of management and planning situations. Presented as an invited lecture before Japan Society of Electrical Engineers and Industrial Policy Research Institute, 6 November 1978, University of Tokyo, Japan.


The manuscript is appended by a 4-page bibliography on Applications and a 2-page bibliography on Theory of ISM. The author briefly describes his Interpretive Structural Modeling Process which was first introduced in 1974 at Battelle Labs, Columbus, Ohio, then gives all available data on applications and uses of the process, at varying locations, during the ensuing four years, when it has begun to find use in a wide variety of management and planning situations.
