Applications of Interactive Management: Case 5--Strategic Planning; Mexican State of Guanajuato in the 21st Century

A description of Interactive Management in Mexico in 1994, in a conference organized by the ITESM Center for Strategic Studies (CSS), Campus Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.

This REPORT is a description of Interactive Management in Mexico in 1994, in a conference organized by the ITESM Center for Strategic Studies (CSS), Campus Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Most of the IASIS Report is an 18 page translation from Spanish of the Table of Contents of "Guanajuato--Siglo XXI" a 3-volume report on the conference. The full title of the conference was: Primer Interloquium, Primicias del Siglo XXI (First Interloquium on the Twenty-first Century). Warfield's Interactive Management processes were used as a framework for the conference sessions. Alexander Christakis was the facilitator. He used his new Cogniscope software. (Cogniscope is a copycat of Warfield's ISM.) Later this Case 5 report was combined with other case studies and incorporated as part of the appendix in an IASIS report titled A Philosophy of Design. After translating the contents pages for use in his IM Report, Warfield kept the 3 Spanish language volumes in his office for several years, until finally donating the 3-volume set to GMU libraries. *Actually, Warfield was not the translator. Rose Warfield can't remember exactly who did the translation, but we know John got the translation done by Spanish speaking persons living in Fairfax. Rose might have helped with the translation, as well as Diego Alvarez, a GMU student who worked as IASIS office assistant for a time during 1995 before going on to a better paying job.
