This is a short paper, giving introductory comments spoken by Warfield when he served as chairman of a symposium of three speakers, Alexander N. Christakis, Huey Johnson, and Carl Moore, whose papers were presented in that order, at a meeting of the Society for General Systems Research in 1982. Warfield doesn't have this paper in his resume because he really was just the introductory person.
